Traditionally Rust Inhibitor Paints and Primers have been used to treat corroded surfaces. Unfortunately, it is too late to inhibit rust once rust has already started.
Rust Inhibitors can be effectively used to protect new metal. Of course, most metal often has already begun microscopic corrosion development by the time fabrication has been completed and may eventually eat through protective coatings. A coat of Rust Attack Primer on new metal will kill rust on contact and prevent the development of progressive corrosion to avoid future rust abatement and treatment.
